How do I test if my Geo Targeting works? (FSB)

If you have created Shipping Bars that target various countries, you may want to test if they are working properly.

Testing Visitor Location Targeting requires knowledge of how VPNs and browsers work together. We strongly recommend asking your developer to test it for you.

Here's a simplified method of how to test if your Geo Targeting is working:

Find a friend in your target country: Ask someone physically located in the country you want to test to visit your website. This is the most reliable way to confirm what they see.
Use a VPN: If a friend isn't available, you can attempt testing with a VPN. However, keep in mind that using a VPN to test Geo Targeting is NOT always accurate. A lot of factors could affect the result, such as the browser cache and wrong IP address. When you test it, please visit whatismyipaddress.com on the same browser and the same tab to verify your IP.
Clear Browser Cache: Before testing with a VPN, clear your browser cache. Cached data can sometimes interfere with geo-targeting.

If your IP is correct and the Geo Targeted message still doesn't show, please send us a screenshot and the IP shown on whatismyipaddress.com. We can then further investigate the reason it did not work during your test.
